Terms of Sale

Last updated July 20, 2026

These Terms of Sale apply when you buy a Nebula subscription on nebulastories.com. Your use of the Nebula app itself is governed separately by our Terms of Service.

Using the Nebula app itself is covered by our Terms of Service. What we do with your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Who you are buying from

Nebula is operated by Carburo Software, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 97123528, VAT number NL005250125B73.

Registered address: Carburo Software, Jan Krosstraat 182, 2571 DD Den Haag, The Netherlands.

You can reach us at support@nebulastories.com.

Who may buy

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. Subscriptions are sold for personal, non-commercial family use. If you want to use Nebula in a school, nursery or library, contact us for a separate agreement.

What you are buying

A Nebula subscription gives the account you name at checkout access to the full Nebula story library for as long as the subscription is active. You can read that library in the Nebula app on your devices.

This is digital content delivered online. Nothing physical is shipped. Access is personal to your household and may not be shared, resold or used commercially.

Prices and tax

Prices are shown at checkout before you pay. For consumers, prices include VAT or the equivalent local sales tax where we are required to charge it. The rate applied depends on the country you are in, so the final amount is confirmed at checkout.

The currency you are charged in is shown before you confirm the order.

How the contract is formed

Selecting a plan and completing checkout places an order. The contract comes into effect when we send you an order confirmation by email. That email is your record of the purchase — please keep it.

If we cannot accept your order, for example because payment fails or the plan is no longer offered, we will tell you and take no payment.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and will let you know. If it keeps failing, access to the paid library pauses until payment succeeds.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or yearly, as chosen at checkout — at the price then in effect, until you cancel. The billing period and renewal date are shown at checkout and in your confirmation email.

You can cancel at any time. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

How to cancel

Cancel from your account page on nebulastories.com, or email support@nebulastories.com from your account email address.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate a partial period unless the law requires it.

Your right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content without giving a reason.

Because a subscription gives you access to the library immediately, at checkout we ask you to expressly consent to us starting straight away and to acknowledge that doing so ends your right of withdrawal. If you give that consent, you lose the 14-day right once access begins. If you would rather keep it, do not tick that box — contact us and we will arrange your purchase so the period is preserved.

Where the right still applies, tell us within 14 days at support@nebulastories.com, giving your name, order email and what you bought. A clear statement is enough; you do not have to use a particular form. We will refund you within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method you paid with.

Refunds outside the withdrawal period

Beyond the withdrawal right, we do not generally refund a period that has already started. If something has gone wrong — the service was unavailable for a meaningful stretch, or you were charged in error — write to support@nebulastories.com and we will put it right. We would rather refund you than keep money you feel you did not get value for.

If we change the price

We may change subscription prices. If a change affects your renewals we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before it takes effect. If you do not cancel, the new price applies from your next renewal.

The library changes over time

We add stories, and occasionally remove or replace them — for example if a licence ends or we want to improve a book. Your subscription is to the library as it stands from time to time, not to any particular story.

If we substantially reduce what your subscription gives you, we will tell you, and you may cancel and receive a refund for the unused part of the period you have paid for.

If something is wrong with the service

We must supply digital content that matches how we described it and that works as you would reasonably expect. This is a legal guarantee and it is in addition to, not instead of, anything in these terms.

If the service is faulty, tell us at support@nebulastories.com. We will fix it within a reasonable time. If we cannot, you are entitled to a proportionate reduction in price or to end the contract and be refunded, as the law provides.

Ending your subscription from our side

We may suspend or end a subscription if payment fails and is not put right, if the account seriously or repeatedly breaks our Terms of Service, or if we are required to by law. Except where you have broken those Terms, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.

If we stop offering Nebula altogether, we will tell you and refund the unused part of your current period.

Our liability

We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for a subscription is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here removes the rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.

Privacy

What we do with your information — including what Stripe receives and what we keep for tax purposes — is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Sale. The version that applies to your purchase is the one in force when you placed the order. If we change terms that affect an ongoing subscription, we will give you notice and you may cancel before the change takes effect.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

Disputes may be brought before the competent Dutch courts, and if you are an EU consumer, also before the courts where you live.

Please write to support@nebulastories.com first — we would much rather resolve it directly.
